Is your coin worth grading?
Run the math first.

Grading fees, membership, handling and insured shipping stack up fast — often to $60–$100 for a single coin. This calculator totals the real all-in cost for your batch and tells you, plainly, whether certification is likely to pay for itself.

Fee presets reflect published schedules checked mid-2026. Services revise pricing and run promotions constantly — confirm current rates at pcgs.com, ngccoin.com, or anacs.com before shipping anything. Every field below is editable, so you can plug in exact current numbers.

What the coin sells for today, ungraded. Use sold listings, not hope.

Sold price of the same coin at your conservative grade estimate.

PCGS Collectors Club from ~$69; NGC from ~$25; ANACS none required.

Membership cost is split across this many submissions.

Insured, round trip, whole batch. $25–60 is typical for modest values.

Include membership in the math (untick if you already hold one you'd pay for anyway, or you're using a dealer/consignment program)

Why one grade point changes everything

MS63 MS65 MS67 Circulated Value

Illustrative shape, not a price chart: for most classic series, value climbs gently through circulated grades and steeply through mint state. It's why the break-even math is unforgiving on ordinary coins and generous on genuinely high-grade ones — and why an optimistic grade estimate is the most expensive mistake in the process. Always price your conservative grade from sold listings.

How to fill this in honestly

Raw value: search sold listings for your coin ungraded and use the middle of the range — not the outlier that got lucky. Certified value: look up sold prices for the same date in a holder at the grade you conservatively expect; if you're torn between two grades, use the lower one, because grading services are torn too and the fee is the same either way. The links below open the sold-listing searches most people need.

Swap in your own series in the search box once you're there — the sold filter carries over.
